Ric Seaberg
Greetings, interested in Ric Seaberg person! I dunno how you got here, but being a friendly sort, hello, nice to meet you, knuckle shake, thanks for comin'. Heres my story:
First of all, I'm the husband of Marie, and the dad of Stacey, Amy, and Blaine. I have six grandchildren, they're all so great. I think about my children and my grand children a lot. I have been married 3 times, plus another long term relationship with a woman who wasn't foolish enough to marry me. Marie, ha!, that part where you tell me I'm great, and how much you love me, and how you're so glad we found each other, maybe it's the head trauma you suffered as a child. But I am so glad you're here. You fill up my heart.
There is all kinds of fluff for you to cruise here, go for it. Photos, ( I call'em "Images") songs I have written and recorded, lots of it free to download, and a memoir, written in the form of blog entries, which basically document the many pinnacle moments of my life, like you care.
I'm a democrat, though my pluperfect spouse sometimes accuses me of having republican tendencies, due to some statement I have made, owing to my many years of being in business in the private sector. I'm a hard and conscientious worker, and I expect others to work hard too, to pull their weight, to try hard. My children got this message, and if I had anything to do with their development as capable, conscientious hard workers, I am grateful. But I vote for the man, or woman, regardless of party. I am a huge Obama guy. I think the presidency began to get "dumbed down", starting with Reagan. He wasn't that smart, he was just a popular actor. What the fuck is that? Ok, maybe it could happen, but the person would have to be super exceptional PLUS being an actor to be the president of our country. Then George Bush Sr., nice man, fairly smart, but no statesman, kind of a bumbler. And he picked Dan Quayle as his vice president, holy cow, a continuation of the dumbing down. So the nation moved to Bill Clinton, he started out pretty good, but that biting the lip thing, and the getting head from a white house intern, and lying about it, what a dope, more dumbing down. Our expectations had been sorely lowered. So we orded up George W. Bush. A disaster of "nucular" proportions. Although I'm sure he is a nice man and has a good heart.
I have what I call "The Presidential Litmus Test" where I imagine a candidate in Parliament, arguing a point ala Tony Blair or some other actual statesmen England raises. The Bushes? Uh, no. Clinton? Maybe. John McCain, no way. Hillary? Probably not.
But in Barack Obama we get it all. If you are not behind Obama, you have to wake up and realize we have elected, in our proud, and mostly awake, reborn nation, an educated, elegant, eloquent, constitutional scholar. I will not add the many adjectives I could, ok let's go with cool, respectable, honest, caring, has a very smart, kind, and educated spouse, must I go on? The dumbing down has ended, for now. And next time you vote, set your expectations for a president high! We're back on the right track!!
